The Ellington Fire Department are members of the Capitol Region Hazmat Team (CRHMRT) and support the region as Hazmat 32. CRHMRT is made up of 5 of departments located in Hartford and Tolland Counties (Paid & Volunteer).
This team meets in-house once each quarter to stay up to date on training as well as 4 times a year with the larger CRHMRT team.

The CRHMRT serves Connecticut Region 3 towns which responds at the request of the IC to your incident. CRHMRT bring advanced metering and identification resources, as well as highly trained personnel to assist with your Hazmat emergency.
